about

Sydney based Dreems & Jamie Blanco pool together creative minds and production proficiency on the “Studio Glucose” single, delivering three diverse original tracks and a guest remix from Moscoman, as well as keeping Futureboogie on a great roll of red hot releases.

Both seasoned producers in their own right, Blanco’s music has landed on labels like Felix Dickinson’s Cynic imprint, London Housing Trust and Tusk Wax (as well as making up one half of Ess O Ess with Chris Stoker) whilst Dreems runs the Multi Culti label and has released for Le Temps Perdu and The Magic Movement. Remix duties of the lead track are handled with care by the Tel-Aviv born Moscoman, who has shined for labels such as Eskimo, I’m A Cliché, and is about to drop his debut full length album on ESP Institute, the label run by LA based DJ Lovefingers.

Opening the ‘Studio Glucose’ journey is ‘Percussive Racing Cars’; the cow bells and woody percussion make playful rhythms, taking the listener on a high powered spin around the tracks, whilst motoring pads and squelched out acid motifs set the tone perfectly. Moscoman applies his modern-wave approach on the remix, reworking the groove into am altogether tougher proposition, whilst maintaining the feel of syncopated percussion and deep riffs.

‘Party Mix’ marries wonky kick drums, low end rumbles and muffled vocal stabs for a real underground treat, whilst the excellently titled ‘Red Frog, Green Frog’ displays a more off-kilter mood, as it lulls you into a dazed amphibious trance; quirky yet funky, showing the dexterous skills of these creative producers.
